BIOS Choose Selectron and VES Fire Detection Systems for St. George’s Research Station

Selectron are pleased to announce that we have gone live with the new VES fire detection systems for both the Staff and Visitor Housing complexes at the Biological Station for Research at Ferry Reach in St. George’s.

These two buildings, now part of the Arizona State University, are covered by fully addressable and dual path monitored fire detection systems from VES utilizing the new VES – Compas FACP – 2 Loops, 5.25-amp system perfectly suited to these multiple level buildings.

The all new, Compas product range of fire alarm control equipment from VES combines the very latest hardware and software to produce a control and indication system, which is powerful and sophisticated, yet simple to use and understand. The flexibility of the Compas platform is such that it can be re-configured to realize many other control and indication applications, with direct integration into intelligent multiple level building and replacing the old legacy fire detection systems.

These two systems are both monitored 24/7 by Honeywell 2024 series HWF2A-COM 2024 fire communicators that offer dual path monitoring via the network with GSM back-up and meet all, of the 2024 code compliancy standards as set out by both the NFPA and Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service.
